Greg Lawton


Greg Lawton has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Avesta since 2007. Prior to joining Avesta as a founding shareholder, he was senior executive in the medical transportation industry, managing multi-state business development strategies, client relations, alliance management and extensive organizational growth initiatives.

Dennis Doverspike, Ph.D., ABPP

Lead Industrial
Organizational Consultant

Dr. Doverspike is certified as a specialist in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and in Organizational and Business Consulting by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and is a licensed psychologist in the State of Ohio. He has forty years of experience developing individual assessments, statistical analysis, development of large-scale assessment systems, job evaluation and job analysis, and expert witness services. He is the author of three books, 18 book chapters, over 150 professional publications.

Beth Jokhio

Director of Program Development

Beth is responsible for the direction and maintenance of Avesta’s software products. She is responsible for the ongoing development and improvement of Avesta’s software solutions. She monitors client needs to plan and implement new features or functions in the software. As well, she is responsible for the system’s security and the continual improvement to reliability and performance.

Mia Cronan

Client Relations Manager

Client relations manager since May 2018, Mia Cronan brings experience in both hospitality management and email marketing to the position. Mia holds a degree in business administration with emphasis in marketing from Georgia State University. She knows the value of being client satisfaction-driven and believes in making the user experience the best it can be for both the client and the clients' affiliates.

Tessa Haneline

Director of Background and Drug Screening

Tessa manages the operations, account management, and client relation activities for Avesta's Background Screening products. Tessa has an undeviating focus on customer experience and process optimization. Tessa has been the driving force behind Avesta becoming an Accredited organization with the National Association of Professional Background Screeners, which has provided standards for information security, compliance, client education, researcher services, verification services and business practices. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology with an emphasis in Psychology and International Affairs from Slippery Rock University (PA). Tessa is an active member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS).

Colleen Jones

Inside Sales and Client Support

Colleen initially distinguished herself in client relations role at Avesta. Colleen continually works with clients to seek feedback and suggestions about program improvement. Many of Avesta’s current clients have benefitted from Colleen’s training sessions. Colleen has recently moved into a new role, directing inside sales activities.
Prior to Avesta, Colleen resided in Seattle, Washington, co-founding the first non-profit scenic studio in the nation. Colleen holds a bachelor’s degree in Design and Technical Theatre from Kent State University, certificate in Arts and Non-profit Management from University of Washington and is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
