New Florida Department of Health EMS Job Board

EMS HR solutions expert Avesta matches rural Florida EMS provider agencies with high quality EMS job candidates.

TALLAHASSEE, FL JULY 2019: The Florida State Department of Health recently announced that Avesta will officially develop and implement an internet-based EMS Job Board for the department beginning in August 2019. The job board program can be accessed at the following link: This Cloud-based board focuses on promoting open EMS jobs to qualified candidates across Florida and the entire county. It will be exclusive to all Florida EMS organizations, with a particular focus for assisting rural EMS providers. It will offer each organzation an advertising forum for posting open EMS employment opportunities using a national online format. The Florida Department of EMS is funding the first-year subscriptions for the first 50 Florida EMS organizations who register for the program.

The Job Board will also offer state-credentialed Florida paramedics, EMTs and other EMS workers an easily accessible and elegantly automated system for viewing job opportunities and applying for employment. The one-stop-shop EMS Job Board offers employers and qualified EMTs and paramedics the full picture of rural Florida’s EMS opportunities in real-time.

“We are very exciting to offer Florida’s EMS providers the benefit of our decades of success in attracting and then facilitating the hiring and retention of high-quality EMS employees for individual companies/agencies – now for an entire state,” said Gregory Lawton, Avesta CEO.

Participants are urged to contact Heather Yates at (352)249-2712 or for inquiry feedback and login credentials. The Job Board technology can integrate with EMS organizations’ current Applicant Tracking System, linking candidates directly to each company’s online application process.
